Adding an A record, MX record, or CNAME in cPanel

In cPanel, open Zone Editor. Click Manage next to the domain. Use the + Add Record button.

A record

Maps a hostname to an IPv4 address.

MX record

Tells the world where to deliver mail. Priority 10 is normal. Add a second MX (priority 20) as a backup target.

CNAME

Aliases one hostname to another. Cannot coexist with other record types on the same name.
